Place is pretty fun. There is one major thing I do not like. First of all, it’s $40 per person and you have a host/game-runner with you the whole time you’re throwing. She was cool, don’t get me wrong. But if you think this place will be fun to catch up with your buddies and talk about stuff, that will be hard with the game-runner. During the middle of our time there, someone came up to me and said hey you know usually you leave a tip for the game runner. I said oh okay, $5 will do. And he explained how normally 20% is customary. I thought, are you kidding me? We’re paying $160 to be here for an hour and a half and you want me to tip $32 on top of this and drinks? I felt like I was forced to, and it shouldn’t be necessary. Pay your workers more, there should be no one ASKING me to tip in a place where all they do is tell you how to throw an axe.

First time here, loved how friendly and welcoming all the staff were. After we signed in, we walked to our bay, I got a beer from the bar, and then the staff member in charge of our bay walked us through the rules and gave some instructions on how to correctly throw the axes. I believe the staff member was Max, he was great and showed us different games while keeping score during all the games. Can't wait to go back there in the future.

Dan was the absolute best! We all had never gone axe throwing before, but Dan taught us all we needed to know. By the time our tournament rolled around, we all were confident in our preferred technique and the underdog ended up winning the whole thing. Also- loved the vibes of the place, very welcoming atmosphere and super kind team. Can’t wait to go again!

Had a good time. However, the experience is quite expensive and at the end we were informed that a 20% tip was expected for our coach. Totally fine with tipping for good service, but this should be communicated prior to/upon booking. Given the price point, and the fact that most people would assume that the price covers everything related to the event, I think they should be more upfront about this.

Mike was an awesome coach! So much fun. The hour session was perfect to play between 4 people and everyone had plenty of throwing. Great atmosphere and great coaches!

I booked this place for an event. Some attendees were from out of state. I did not go but their feedback was that they enjoyed it very much! Maddie, the Event Manager who I got the pleasure of working with at Urban Axes was hospitable and very responsive when answering all my questions and making all my adjustments for the many request I had by email. She is a true value to this place. We went with the Target practice Package and catering from El Potro: Chips, Salsa, and Guacamole. They said everything was great. We also purchased a trophy for the winner and the next day that's all they talked about!! It was a great addition to the fun, unique experience they had.
